A goal for the new year

Welcome Back! For the new year, why not have your students make a “resolution” or goal? Students may want to become better listeners, geography experts, or organizers, for example. Have them think of one word to capture their goal, as well as one sentence describing how they will achieve this. Then use the template at Big Huge Labs to type in each goal and create a motivation poster for students to keep at their desks. Remind them of their goals throughout the year and make sure they document their successes!

This is a great way to introduce an important advocacy skill and to teach students about the different needs, skills, and abilities in each classroom.
