Thank you to Karen Janowski for writing about the common problem of supporting students who do not want their modifications or accommodations because they don’t want to appear different. You have to visit her blog to get the full answer but her short response is essentially, “If we have so many learners who hate to be different, why do we keep creating supports that make just that one kid stand out?”
