This one is for all of you teaching the little ones. I found a new, fun blog called Literacy and Laughter and it is filled with so many wonderful pictures of classroom activities. One that I thought was perfect for Fun Friday was this darling ABC set. Each student in the classroom was assigned a letter and they were charged with decorating it with objects beginning with that letter. For example, B is decorated with buttons and F is decorated with feathers. Not only would this be great fun but it has so much potential for use in a diverse classroom. Some students might be assigned to brainstorm all of the options for materials. Others (who had advanced literacy skills) could write those options down so classmates could review the options. Still others could work on the design elements of the task.
