FUN FRIDAY: Cute math puzzles

Have your students practice their math skills with a easy-to-make puzzle! Melissa uses these apple shaped pieces of paper to create these cute puzzles that feature different “names” for the same number.

Try using these for math centers, take home practice, or peer tutoring. These puzzles can be made more challenging by providing multiple puzzles with the same color paper, so that students have to complete the addition problems in order to help them sort the puzzles. They can be made less complex by creating some pieces with identical information so that the task becomes a matching task for those working on that skill.

These puzzles would also be lots of fun for students to create.
