We’d like to share with you a fun hands-on activity that also allows students to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and get out of the classroom. This clever outdoor scavenger hunt is from The Creative Homemaker and is designed for families, but it could so easily be adapted for the classroom. There are two very simple ways to differentiate the activity. First of all you can use lists or you can use photos/pics as this family did so that all or some learners have extra cues. In addition, you can make two or three different hunts so that some students need only find a leaf or nut, but others need specific materials like an oak leaf, maple leaf or something not biodegradable.
