FUN FRIDAY: Number comparison shuffle

Over at Crayon Bits, you will find many ideas for first grade fun (see our post a few weeks ago about acting out the seasons). Today’s feature is an idea for making math class a bit more active. I love Ms. Linnabary’s description of how quickly she was able to create the materials. This is another illustration of how integrating movement into the classroom does not have to involve extensive planning or a time-intensive activity!

What I love about the activity is that it would allow a teacher to illustrate many comparisons very quickly and the more problems students agree to try, the faster and longer their feet get to move!
