Off to Paris?

I was delighted to find The French Corner this week as I searched for the ‘best foreign language blogs’. The first post I read was this fantastic little lesson on having students plan trips to Paris. I loved it because it integrates so many competencies that can be useful for any student to polish like on-line research, consumer math skills and so on, but it also can get learners interested in a wonderful city and serve as a first step for a trip that may actually become a reality in one, five, or ten years.

Further, there are so many ways to differentiate this lesson for those needing support or enrichment. You could ask some students to stay within a certain budget, provide websites with more text and required reading for some (such as the restaurant sites suggested), or cut out some steps for those with adapted goals in your class.
