TODD’S TECH TUESDAY: Transport students with green screens

We got this great idea over at The Techy Teacher. We recommend that you check out this post on using green screens in the classroom and that you explore her blog as well. She has so many great suggestions and several step-by-step tutorials like this one.

Not sure what you would do with your new green screen knowledge? How about having students “visit” or “travel” to the places they are studying? Or having them do skits with backdrops from other lands for foreign language class? Or having them act out or pose for snapshots from famous moments in history?

This technique is sure to be motivating for many learners who are artistic or for those who love to be noticed. It can also capture the attention of those students who are interested in the technology itself so don’t assume the tutorial is just for the teacher.
