100s day ideas across subject areas and grade levels

Some of you will be celebrating 100s day soon. If you are one of those getting close to the milestone, check out this NY Times article. They have SO many creative ideas for older students and so many activities that diverse learners can enjoy.

The first idea is one of my favorites– list 100 things you have learned so far this year. It would be so interesting to see what students (with partners or in small groups) would list. This is the type of “assessment” that allows struggling learners to share things they have learned that don’t show up on tests or quizzes. Of course, to make this accessible to all, consider giving some students classroom photos, unit descriptions, or curriculum materials to jog their memories.
