I think I am obsessed with classroom libraries. Actually, I KNOW I am obsessed with classroom libraries so I love featuring them every so often on this blog. Today’s choice is from Lessons with Laughter. It is organized with colored tape and is clearly functional and beautiful.
I believe that a well-organized library is a phenomenal tool for differentiating instruction. In many other areas of the school day, students must use the same materials as their peers. Our textbooks, manipulatives, and science kits, for instance, are fairly uniform. Libraries, however, give us the opportunity to offer something different to each child each day. Further, if they are organized and well stocked, every child will be able to access them independently and find a choice that is appropriately challenging and appealing.
