Circuit training offers something for everyone

The focus of this post from Mr. Robbo the PE Geek is really the use of music in circuit training but I also loved the description of the circuit training itself. The circuit training as it is described could work for so many different students including those with physical disabilities as not all students need to complete each part of the circuit. Certain stations could be repeated by some students and additional exercises or activities could be added for some if needed.

The music is another tool to use for differentiation. You could let students choose songs they love or those that motivate them. And for students with autism who struggle with transitions, the musical cues may help them move from activity to activity without confusion and anxiety.

Also, be sure to let your PE department know about this fantastic blog- there are many more posts on Mr. Robbo’s site that your health and physical education teachers will love.
