In honor of Valentine’s Day, I am posting a page of great Romeo & Juliet teaching tools, resources, and lessons from Web English Teacher. In particular, I like the lessons on alternative endings and the 60-second performances. Both are great ways to engage diverse learners and unleash creativity.
And as long as we are on the subject of this romantic story…I seldom discuss or recommend print resources on this blog but my favorite resource for differentiating for Romeo & Juliet is not an electronic one. If you teach R&J, you have to check out Teaching Romeo & Juliet: A Differentiated Approach (DeCourcy, Fairchild, & Follet). The performance exercises alone are worth the $35.95.
